I’m added little bits of red here and there with ribbon, berries and a few home accessories. I didn’t realize how much I love the color red for Christmas. Every year, the day after Thanksgiving, we go and cut down our Christmas tree. A family tradition that we have been doing since my husband and I got married. One of the reasons why I don’t own an artificial Christmas tree! We love this family tradition and it’s always something we look forward too. Today was the first year my older daughter wasn’t there with us, but me and my young daughter each wore one of her clothes to “bring” her along. 😉 Now to decorate the tree! 🎄#meierfamilypic

Christmas decorating happening over the weekend, and I love decorating my shelves for Christmas. Something I started doing last year, and it just ties in the rest of the room with the rest of the festive decor. I keep most items on the bookshelf and just switch out the decorative items for little trees, greenery, little house villages. And then add a bowl of ornaments. Simple and easy! We went for 10 days with multiple cities, multiple hotels in the middle of fall, so I needed to make sure I didn’t over pack and I packed essential items for warm and rainy days. 25 YEARS! 25. Wow. Am I really that old?! We married when we were SO young. Right out of high school with parents who were not in complete support of our marriage. I can’t blame them. But we have grown (literally grown up together) so much through the years and our love for each other has expanded, been stretched, tested and bounded together.
